Reliable BRITA Systematic Filter Technology decarbonises water in four stages:

1. Pre-filtration
Pre-filtered water contains coarse-grained particles.
2. Reduction of carbonate hardness
The filter material reduces carbonate hardness to prevent limescale formation.
3. Active carbon filtration
Water passes through an activated carbon filter to reduce the content of substances that damage taste and odour.
4. Fine filtration
Finally, the fleece holds back the remaining fine particles.
