Waffle Makers

A waffle iron is an electric kitchen appliance that bakes the batter into even waffles between hot plates. The shape of the plates determines the result: a classic grid-pattern Belgian waffle, a bubble waffle, or, for example, a stick waffle in the corn dog style. Most waffle makers have a thermostat to maintain the temperature and non-stick or cast-iron plate surfaces so the waffles bake evenly and are easy to remove.
